Communication and Media Studies Specialization
The Communication and Media Studies specialization is a self-designed, interdisciplinary course of study that draws from any Master of Communication and Media (MCM) specialization as well as courses across other SC&I programs and departments.
Requirements for Communication and Media Studies
As part of the Master of Communication and Media program, all Communications and Media Studies students are required to complete:
Courses in organizational communication, mediated communication, health communication, social interaction, knowledge management, and media studies are offered throughout the year. Many of these courses are cross-listed with the school’s Ph.D. program or Master of Information program.
A special topics course gives you the chance to explore unique or emerging subjects while shaping your studies to match your interests. With an interdisciplinary approach, these courses offer interactive, hands-on learning experiences that can boost your research skills and career preparation.
