Ph.D. Program in Communication, Information, and Media

Fostering Intellectual Autonomy

The Ph.D. program in Communication, Information, and Media offers advanced training in theoretical and research skills for scholarly and professional leadership in communication, library and information science, and media studies.

This strategic combination of fields prepares you to address key questions facing society in the 21st century. You’ll examine the structure and role of communication, information, and media institutions, policies, processes, and systems—and their impact on individuals, organizations, and society, both nationally and globally.

The program strongly supports and encourages interdisciplinary approaches to these complex and evolving issues.

Fall 2028 application deadline and application link will be posted soon!
