Information Technology and Informatics Major
As an Information Technology and Informatics (IT & Informatics) major, you’ll build strong technical skills while exploring the social, economic, and organizational impact of technology, preparing you to tackle complex challenges and design thoughtful, people-centered solutions.
You’ll develop practical computer-based competencies and unite those skills with ideas from the humanities and social sciences, equipping you to solve problems where people and machines meet.
About the Program
You’ll gain hands-on technical skills while exploring how technology shapes—and is shaped by—people, organizations, and society. Through coursework in areas like programming, social informatics, and user-centered design, you’ll learn to solve complex problems and communicate solutions effectively.
