Communication and Media Research Specialization
These students have additional requirements as listed below. In addition to coursework, these students will conduct empirical research with a faculty member, assist in teaching a course, and focus their plan of study and Capstone project with a research orientation.
Requirements for Communication and Media Research
As part of the Master of Communication and Media program, all Communications and Media Research students are required to complete:

Students may take any Master of Communication and Information courses related to their research interests. The following are recommended for Communication and Media Research:
Students interested in pursuing a Ph.D. after completing the Master of Communication and Media program should follow the following sequence:
Along with their coursework, students will actively participate in hands-on research with a faculty member, help teach a course, and shape their studies and capstone project with a research focus. Students must take part in at least one Colloquium.
