Rutgers expert shares guidance on navigating difficult conversation during the holidays.

"Public speaking can be nerve-wracking, but I think it’s one of the most powerful skills you can have, because no matter what field you end up in—business, tech, medicine, or even something completely unexpected—you’re always going to have to talk to someone," said the competition's first-place winner Clarina Xavier.

The National Communication Association (NCA) will host its 111th Annual Convention from November 20–23, 2025, near Denver, Colorado, with pre-conference sessions on November 19. The theme is “Communicate to Elevate,” and organizers expect over 4,000 scholars, educators, and professionals from around the world to attend research presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities.

Held on October 22 at The Yard on College Avenue, the event will feature interviews with Communication major alums including television advertising and beauty industry marketing executives, social media influencer marketers, healthcare communication professionals, and other guests.  

"There are important stories to write in places I would otherwise never consider looking." Hawthorne said about his summer internship.

Sharma won the Revolutionary Award, a Chancellor’s Leadership Award, for her contributions to the RPSO.
