Careers and Internships
Master of Information internships fall into two categories:
Internships are optional but strongly encouraged for students without prior professional experience.
Students must have completed 15 credits to apply for the Field Experience Course 592 (3 credits). Some library projects may require specific courses as prerequisites.
Internships require a minimum of 150 hours of supervised professional work in a library or other information organization. You may attend meetings with the faculty adviser and other students if required, keep a journal, and complete a brief summary paper. Placement is based on the student's background and career objectives.
