Biography
Tatiana Rodriguez is an award-winning educator who teaches courses in public speaking, social media, leadership, and professional development, and helps college instructors design engaging, student-centered classes. Her teaching is rooted in four pillars: active learning, technology, multimedia, and classroom belonging. Drawing on learning science and neuroscience, Rodriguez creates classes that are relevant and memorable, helping students retain knowledge, build confidence, and apply skills across disciplines.
She is an active member of the Rutgers Institute for Teaching, Innovation, and Inclusive Pedagogy, where she has been featured in the Teaching Spotlight series and invited to participate in panels and workshops. She also leads sessions for faculty in the School of Management and Labor Relations and other units, supporting ongoing faculty development efforts.
Beyond the classroom, Rodriguez leads the educational platform Tatiana Teaches, including a YouTube channel dedicated to helping college educators create courses that students love and remember. She speaks at conferences and collaborates with teaching institutes on student engagement, online confidence, and innovative course design. Her work blends research-based teaching practices, video production, technology integration, and student belonging to inspire creativity and community in higher education. Rodriguez encourages others to “teach beyond the bland” and lives by the motto, “Keep learning, inspiring, and teaching … with love.”
