Biography
Alexis W. Dothard is an experienced education professional who began her career in the classroom as a high school teacher. Her passion for education and student success inspired her transition into higher education, where she has excelled in various roles dedicated to student support and development. Since joining the SC&I team in 2022, Dothard has collaborated with administrative staff and program directors to guide graduate students through their academic journey.
She leverages her expertise in academic advising, data analysis, and strategic planning to lead collaborative initiatives that enhance student success through policy and procedural improvements. Dothard's contributions have been recognized with multiple honors, including the Staff Excellence Award in 2024. She is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Society for Public Administration, the National Academic Advising Association, and the National Association for Graduate Enrollment Management—demonstrating her commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
Beyond her core responsibilities, Dothard is passionate about helping individuals hone and align their core strengths with their professional goals. Her broader interests include conscious leadership, and she finds personal enrichment in literature and travel.
