Biography

Eiman Ahmed’s research investigates the relationship between technology, well-being, and social behavior using interdisciplinary methods including computational social science and data analytics. Her studies focus on the social and mental consequences of information systems. Ahmed's work ultimately aims to inform the design of healthier online ecosystems that promote psychological well-being and beneficial user experiences.

Ahmed has received funding for her research from the National Institutes of Health, the Rutgers Center for COVID-19 Response and Pandemic Preparedness, and the SC&I’s Scholarly Futures grant. Her work has appeared in well-established journals such as The Current Opinion in Psychiatry and in prominent information systems venues like the Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences. She is currently examining the longitudinal impact of social interactions on psychological health and well-being using structural equation modeling techniques.
