Counting Rules & Policies
Designed to fit your schedule, the DCIM minor is fully customizable. The program offers a flexible, innovative format that allows students to take courses in the delivery mode that meets their needs. Our courses are offered:
During the fall and spring semesters, courses are offered in various hybrid time slots and fully, asynchronously online. Some courses are also offered during the winter and summer sessions.

The course Strategic Presentations in Digital Media (189:251) counts toward both the DCIM and Gender and Media minors. See your advisor to discuss the best way to complete both minors.
Begin your 18-credit minor by registering for one of these foundation courses:
Register via the Rutgers Web Registration System under subject code “189: Communication and Information” in the drop-down course menu. Once you complete any DCIM course with a grade of C or better, you may begin the DCIM minor declaration process.
To satisfy the requirements for the minor, you must complete the following six 3-credit courses (18 credits total) with a grade of C or better:
Prerequisite: Completion of at least 15 credits within the minor, or completion of 12 credits and concurrent enrollment in one other DCIM course.
