Yi Zhao

Yi Zhao's research focuses on social media, emerging technologies, social networks, civic engagement, and computational methods. She applies surveys, network analysis, and computational approaches to explore how digital media and technological innovations shape civic and political behavior; the flow and dynamics of information across diverse media ecosystems; and the role of identity in shaping communication practices.
