Biography
Carey Pilato is a communications consultant in the pharmaceuticals and life science industry, with significant experience in agency and corporate settings. Carey has diverse professional communications experience, having worked for three members of congress, as well as Fleishman Hillard, Edelman, Ogilvy, Cooney Waters, Pfizer, and Sanofi. He is passionate about advances in pharma, biotech, medical devices, health technology, and public health.
Some of Pilato's notable career achievements include directing global and U.S. product communications, issues management, co-promotion agreements, a well as scientific and medical developments for four blockbuster products: DARZALEX (four billion in sales); IMBRUVICA (eight billion in sales); Prevnar 13 (six billion in sales); and Lipitor (four billion in sales). He helped launch the Biosimilars Forum, an advocacy group for a new class of biologic therapies. He earned a master's in Strategic Communication from Purdue University.
