Biography

Haley Nolan-Cody seeks to uncover insights regarding communication processes involved in coping and managing illnesses, trauma, and stressors in family contexts. Her studies aim to understand the meaning-making process that occurs in health contexts, which influence the family as a whole. Her projects to date are grounded in advanced qualitative methods and have examined concepts such as resilience, uncertainty, identity, and communication work. Haley's work is published in outlets such as the Journal of Communication, Patient Education and Counseling, and Health Communication.
