Biography
Nitzan Navick is an organizational communication scholar whose research examines how communication technologies and evolving workplace norms influence employee well-being, especially among digital workers. Her work explores how organizations can foster belonging and well-being through strategic communication practices. She teaches courses in leadership, corporate social responsibility, and organizational communication from a global perspective, emphasizing cultural curiosity, international communication, and ethical practices as essential to building healthy, inclusive workplaces.
Navick’s research has appeared in New Media & Society, Information, Communication & Society, and Management Communication Quarterly. She has also contributed to academic handbooks on negotiation, virtual work, qualitative research methods, and corporate social responsibility. Her accomplishments include the Open Education Global Open Research Award and presentations at major academic conferences such as the International Communication Association and the Academy of Management.
Beyond academia, Navick consults with healthcare systems, municipalities, nonprofits, and private organizations to enhance workplace interaction, safety, and health. Her applied research identifies structural barriers to belonging and helps organizations implement communication-based strategies for sustainable change. At Rutgers, she continues to advance scholarship and teaching that support organizational thriving and individual well-being in today’s digital work environment.
