Biography

Mark McGrath is a strategic advisor and writer who teaches leaders and teams how to orient in contested environments, where uncertainty and narrative pressure can distort judgment. His work helps people see situations clearly, separate signal from noise, and make sound decisions under stress. He emphasizes teaching ideas and ways of thinking before tools or process, applying these principles across leadership judgment, influence, crisis communications, executive hiring, litigation support, and strategic positioning.

A former U.S. Marine Corps officer, McGrath spent nearly two decades in asset management before moving into leadership education and strategic advisory work. He is an owning partner of AGLX North America and serves as its Chief Learning Officer. He is the author of the Substack publication The Whirl of Reorientation and co-host of the podcast No Way Out. He holds a B.A. in History from Marquette University and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Detroit Mercy.
