Biography

Beth Livermore is a prize-winning journalist who has published widely with national media outlets including the Smithsonian Institution, the National Geographic Society, Reader’s Digest, and Conde Nast publications. She has also produced and edited material for radio, museums, websites, and book publishers. She has a bachelor’s of journalism from the University of Missouri and a MFA from Columbia University’s School of Arts.  Livermore was a Knight Science Journalism fellow at MIT, and alum of editorial programs offered by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, American Psychological Association, National Science Foundation, University of California—Berkeley, and Vermont Studio Center, among others. Most importantly, she loves to teach writing, reporting and editing. She especially likes working with Rutgers students. Go Scarlet Knights!
