Biography

Yiting Liu is a Ph.D. student in Communication. Her research focuses on social support in interpersonal communication, particularly at the intersection of family and health contexts. The core question driving her work is how to provide high-quality support to those we love, especially as they face major life challenges and life transitions. Her research seeks to improve the effectiveness of support provision and facilitate supportive communication in close relationships. Recently, she has examined support gaps and support-seeking behaviors within families, contributing to a more nuanced understanding of family support dynamics.
