Biography
Grant Lattanzi is a Ph.D. student in Communication, Information, and Media at Rutgers who mixes ethnographic and discourse analysis methods to ask questions at the intersection of technology and culture.
His ongoing research examines 'climate tech' as an emerging form of expertise and set of technoscientific practices transforming urban spaces using state of the art platform technologies and environmental knowledge. As an interdisciplinary scholar, Grant draws from across the social sciences for analytic depth, including science and technology studies, cultural studies, urban sociology, and critical data studies.
His recent research projects have examined urban test-beds and climate imaginaries, nature-as-infrastructure development projects and civic participation, and he has written widely on digital platforms and public culture.
