Biography
GoUn Kim teaches courses on applying research in information technology, social informatics, and retrieving and evaluating electronic information. Her research focuses on understanding how information and digital literacy define what it means to be a career-ready, educated individual in today's digital multimedia era. She aims to contribute to society's development and support through the scholarly communication of this knowledge.
Kim received the Distinguished Achievement in Teaching Award from the Department of Library and Information Science at SC&I in 2020. She serves on the Scholarship Committee for Library and Information Science at SC&I and on the Excellence in Teaching Award Committee for the Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE). She also serves as the External Affairs Director for the Korean Society of Bibliography.
