Biography

Christine "Chrissy" Beswick brings more than a decade of experience leading complex academic and administrative initiatives at Rutgers University and Rowan University. Her work has focused on strategic planning, administrative operations, resource allocation, organizational effectiveness, and organizational change. As a proud Rutgers alumna and lifelong higher education professional, Beswick believes in the power of education to advance equity and expand opportunity.

Beswick joined SC&I from the Rutgers University–Camden School of Arts and Sciences, where she served as director of administrative operations. Previously, she served as director of planning, program development, and special projects at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, where she led a comprehensive strategic planning initiative that contributed to the school’s growth.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Beswick served as a core team member of the Rowan Medicine Vaccination Center, a public health initiative sponsored by the New Jersey Department of Health. She also chaired Rowan University’s Women’s Alliance Network, leading professional development programs for the university community and the Southern New Jersey region.

Beswick is a graduate of the Higher Education Resource Services (HERS) Leadership Institute, a leadership development program for higher education professionals, and has received awards recognizing her work in administration and public service.

At SC&I, she hopes to continue leading from and with the heart while sustaining excellence through a shared sense of community.
