Great news,
Maybe telling every government survey person who called that this should be a priority actually might have helped a little bit. It is a good thing I am not a Conservative or I would have just asked for tax cuts. I am sure that Lynnifer's letters and emails played a much bigger role. So thank you.Anyone who wants to write a quick thank you letter or email to the Premier can do so here: http://www.premier.gov.on.ca/feedback/default.asp I'm not pleased with everything that this government has done but as a member of this small interest group that we all have the misfortune of being members I am thankful for the financial attention and support to our cause. |

Manitoba gives $3M boost to spinal injury treatment
Last Updated: Friday, February 29, 2008 | 2:54 PM CT CBC News The Manitoba government will spend $3 million over the next five years making sure people with spinal cord injuries receive the most up-to-date services. Premier Gary Doer and other government officials announced the funding in the provincial legislature Friday. The money will help ensure medical treatment and social services incorporate the most recent research and provide more counselling to people who have experienced spinal cord injuries, they said. Brad Boiselle, who had a tumour removed from his spine seven years ago, said counselling helped him make the transition from mechanic to teacher. "Just managing your life, your body — it takes a lot of time when you have a spinal cord injury," he said. "It's just too much to think about, and there's so many things that happen. If you're not in the right mindset, you're not going to succeed." more: http://www.cbc.ca/canada/manitoba/st...y.html?ref=rss |
