this is a nice looking chair for outdoors/sports

my daughters boyfriend was down in durham, nc and saw a van with this website on it. we looked it up last night and i thought these chairs looked great for sportsmen! i wanted to post this in case anyone here would be interested...

http://www.legsdontwork.com/Home.html

that site also had a beach/swimming chair. we looked it up and found a utube video...it is in french but the video itself tells all you really need to know except price. we found that on a forum somewhere and it was said to be about 3495.

here is the video on the beach chair from utube......

what we can not figure out is why these little wheels go in the sand? to me, looks like they would sink in soft sand. i understand how it goes on packed, wet sand...but soft sand???

i also found this video of beach use...

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3o...-video-1_sport

i realize the ad says the wheels are double width, but what do you guys think, do you think just double width wheels would do the trick? my hubby is getting ready to build mine and the wheels are the biggest cost so we are trying to find the best way to go...

hope you all enjoy the videos and if anyone has in input regarding the wheels, i would love to hear your comments.

I have seen beach chairs that go through firm sand with tires a little wider than those, so the double tires might work ok. The thing I don't like is there are no push rims. Your hands would get nasty with sand, mud, dirt..yuk!

The Paramobile is really cool.

Looks like they have some nice products. Thanks for the post. The Super Four is really interesting, and that beach chair looks like would do the job. Seems like that guy was pushing it around OK.

that beachchair is called the hippocamp. they have a pool version too, and both can be pushed from the chair. its hard to describe, but the pushrims are a bit like natural fits, and are inset into the tyres. theyre actually very easy to push. ive tried it at an exhibition here in ireland last year. there a removable push handle too, and they also sell a carry bag the entire chair folds into.
