ticketmaster

Anyone care to band behind me and buck this rule that we can only buy two tickets? I feel we should at least get 4 so we can go as a family. Anyone?

Yep. What's the plan? I hate that policy.

Here's a thread w/ me complaining about it years ago!

How many tickets can ABs buy? This policy may be in violation of ADA equal access.

It is normally Ticketmaster's policy to allow only two tickets for handicapped seating. But they have always gave me the venue main number and I have never failed to get enough seating for the family either in the same row or in the one directly in front of me.

Can you not get the venue's number? That's how I have always had to do it to be enough seating.

I purchased five tickets in the handicapped seating for a Cincinnati Reds ballgame and eight for a Atlanta Braves ballgame with no problem.

If it is a fast selling concert it is impossible. You have to buy two, then two and with two kids that is impossible. My son is small enough he just sits on my lap but that gets old especially if just say I had a man to go with me. What we sit together and let the kids sit alone somewhere haha.
AB were allowed 4 tickets for the concert in mind. I don't have a plan Betheny but I guess I need to get one. I am new to this organizing attack and destroy stuff.

Yeah I'm clueless but def game. Maybe we should ask Kristi for advice? I really suspect it is a discriminatory policy. We should be allowed at least 3 companions unless h/c seating is sold out, right? In OKC they aren't cheap seats, nor are they excellent seats. Same at the theater in Tulsa where I saw Chicago. Cheap seats aren't an option in OK, it seems. It's not some great bennie to sit in them. It's just to stay with the gang, which loves us enough to settle for sitting with us in our mediocre seats!

Seats in Nashville and Memphis aren't that great either but I saw plenty of AB in them. Atlanta they are on the top and not close either.

I just went to a concert and had floor seats. It took 1 hour to get to my seat bc they couldn't figure out which elevator to use and the elevator lady didn't have a security clearance badge to make the elevator go to the floor. Meanwhile my sister and kids are up somewhere else in their seats waiting for me to call when I find my accessible seat. So not only were we split up but lost too. That won't happen again. We will have tickets together.

Depends -
are they reduced/discounted HC seats? Some HC seating may be discounted than what those area seats may typically cost (eg. 1/2 off orchestra seats, albeit at far end), with same discounted priced seat for 1 companion. Addtl seats would be regular priced. If discounted, "companion" seating is generally a service provided for disabled persons. Discount or not, seating is generally per availability, with the one "companion" seat set aside (supposedly) per handicapped seating area. You can also request a regular seat for you, if you prefer that.

If you need more than 2 tickets, order more, and ask specifically where the seats will be located, and if possible, they can be in same area (this by price).

Ticketmaster may not be able to guarantee all seats together, so best to call theatre box office for specific seats. For example, I call the theatre/venue directly to speak with them RE access/seating, then may buy tickets thru their box office to ensure seats and location (also, going TO THE BOX OFFICE to buy seats may save on addtl service charges and get you exact seating, per availability). Depending on venue, if they are able to arrange seating closer once you get there, they may do that. Just make sure to ask, get names of those you spoke to, and get there early.

I've never had discounted seating anywhere.
I live over an hour from the box office so it is kind of hard to go there.
It shouldn't be this complicated for a family to sit together. Esp with small children.

I'll sign a petition or whatever... I've gotten pretty annoyed at that policy several times.
