I'll be scarce for 2 months...

Well after spending a night in the community hospital here with possible pre-term labour due to a UTI, and the lack of ability of the hospital here to care for me - in addition to winter road conditions etc. it has been decided that it is best for me to stay in a hotel in the city until I deliver the baby. Hubby and daughter will be coming with me - it will stick suckk to spend Christmas in a hotel but 2 months (possibly less) isn't much in the overall picture...

We are bringing a computer but I'll be sharing with hubby and daughter so I won't be around much.

It will be tough, but well worth the effort. Take care of yourself and the little expected one. That is what is most important right now.

Take care Emi. With that scare, I am sure you are making the right decision. The trip in labor would be too dangerous.

Make the most of being in a hotel ....maid service! Room service, a pool ? make it a vacation! Violet will probably have a great time, and your family will be together. That is the important thing.

You had started the earlier thread wondering what to do. I think someone answered.

Good luck ... I want to say consider it a vacation but I know it won't be ... So, names that you've considered?

I always wanted a little Sarah or Samuel!!! In my dreams, I could hear the hockey announcers saying that lil Sammy Jones had beaten Wayne Gretzky's records .. lol. And lil Sarah was a professional dancer. Yay, not living through children am I .. good thing I didn't have any!

Are you staying with the V theme? Victor? Victoria?

Sorry you are not going to get to spnd the time in th comfort of your own home but I am sure piece of mind knowing you are close to the hospital is a better choice. Sending lots of good vibes your way. You deserve the best!!!!!

Well we got settled into the hotel, it's pretty posh lol, us country bumpkins feel a bit out of place but oh well. Accessibility is adequate, stupid tiny wheel in shower but it's not my floor/towels that will get soaked lol. Violet is sitting at the desk beside me on 'her' laptop, I'm on the desktop and hubby is on the Xbox 360 lol. So we are set for the next couple months! The hotel has a pool etc. too.
Saw my OBGYN today, again I'm really impressed with his knowledge - he wrote a paper on SCI and pregnancy while a resident even.
Also had another ultrasound, baby is definutely anopther girl and is growing juust perfect. Everything else loooks good.
We are sticking to the flower/color naming theme and naming her Hazel.

Anyhow, time to enjoy city luxeries like Chinese food delivery!
