No it's not scabies, I've had it before working in the nursing home field.haven't in 5 years tho. But they are sweaty. And show no visible signs of anything until it's scratched which makes it worse. Cold calms it some but only for minute.

I had a similar problem a few weeks ago. I was using latex gloves, which I hadn't in over a year. My hands were itching like crazy and couldn't figure out why. After a couple of days going over any changes in routine, I thought maybe it was the latex gloves since so many ARE allergic. I stopped using latex and the itching stopped. I'm not absolutely sure if that was the problem since I've used latex before, but maybe. It was funny that only my hands itched...

I don't think latex is a factor. And soap isn't either in my opinion then again I don't know what it is because its not always.my hands. I have a bunch of tattoos some professionally and some are from prison and around the outlines of the tattoo on my back "MOSES" the outlines sometimes get raised or for lack of better words swollen lil bumps n itch as well also show up on my arm (sleeve), and are like pimple like bumps but if you squeeze them, there's only puss i've been treated with bactrim just to rule out staph

Have you been tested for carpal tunnel syndrome? Not sure if that's how it started for me. I went to the doctor trying to figure out why my hands were itching like crazy and after loads of tests they discovered I had carpal tunnel... Now I cant say for sure if the itching was caused by it or something else and the diagnosis was purely coincidental. I don't know. At the time it seemed strange. I mostly get pins and needles when my carpal tunnels are playing up but I still occasionally get the itchiness too... But not often...

Oreo, I'd see a dermatologist. I started seeing one a few years ago when rashes on my legs and arms wouldn't go away and had been there for 9 months. I'd struggled with itchy skin for years and have always been super sensitive to stuff. I've now got it under control and also found out names for other things I've had for years and didn't know what they were (like keratosis pilaris)
