Suprapubic question
Just wanted to get an opinion on this. I have had a suprapubic catheter for about 5.5 years now and i have found that in the last six months or so whenever Im doing my bowels I pass a blood clot through the catheter. Is this normal? Thanks

No. You are due for a cystoscopy if you are passing any blood on a regular basis, and are now at the point where screening for bladder cancer annually should be done. See your urologist.

It can be, although most often bladder cancer in indwelling catheter users has no signs or symptoms until quite advanced. A cystoscopy and perhaps biopsy should be done to rule this out.
