Push handles

Has anyone used bicycle handle bar ends as push handles on there back rest post? Thinking about buying a pair to clamp to the top my back post as a push handles which can be removed when its not needed. Plus they look nicer than regular wheelchair push handles. But I'm wondering if they are safe to use as push handles for wheelchairs.

Thinking about buying these carbon fiber ones to match with the jetstream pro backs, but gotta find ones that can clamp to 1" tubes though.

Great idea, lighter and cheaper than regular suppliers,

too small or too big? probably too small for back cane diameter

Onoy thing I can see as an issue, would be the tube diameter.

I was thinking the same thing! Why pay a lot more for push handles, when these bike bar-ends are so easy to find and cost so much less and they look great too.
You can always add shims if fit is as issue. I do think that all bar-ends are the same fitting size.

You can find plenty if you do a google search for "bike bar ends." I think some bike handle bar tubes are 1" thick, I'm sure there are some bar ends made for it.
