sitting after swimming
Just a basic question, with summer rolling on here, i have a getting wet question, as in swimming. Is it necessary to get totally dry straight after swimming, or can one sit for a bit in the chair wet? I know you definately cant sit in urine, but what about just pool water, is this likely to cause skin damage if you sit for an hour or so?
thankyou |

I can't see how it would hurt. Seems like no difference as if you stayed in the pool for an extra hour. Might dry out a little depending on the level of chlorine used.
I need to snowbird to Australia, I'm envious of you just coming into summer. Take a swim for me would ya? We are heading for the low 20's(F) tomorrow. Brrhh. And yes I know I'm a lightweight for y'all up north. It's still friggin' cold. McD "Rather be ridin' than rollin'" |

I too am jealous of your warm weather, several degrees below freezing for the next several days.
It should be OK to sit somwhat wet for awhile , but would definitely clean the skin of chlorine and dry well. JM |

Hi Anna,
Mid-summer here in SA too ![]() I have the same problem, I love swimming and when I get the chance, being towed in a tube behind a skiboat. My biggest problem though is being wet afterwards. I'd also like to sit around in wet shorts but am worried about skin problems. Enjoy. |
