How to get rid of it?

Hi friends,

I'm a 37 yrs. old paraplegic since more than a decade.I've been feeling depression-type condition for the last eight months.I've a fullfledged family i.e brother,sister,brothers' kids, loving & caring mother etc.Infact this condition incur on me as a result of a failure in getting web designing job after three yrs. brain work out in programming books.But soon after the failure I engaged myself in tutoring activity as I've a masters degree in Maths & can teach many science subjects to college going students.Depression has relieved reasonably but it strucks me sometimes whenever there's some predicament sitution around me.I don't want to consult a therapist--it's not available.I want to fight it by my involving me in some activities.Plz. tell me is it possible to get rid of it?Are there some tips for food,exercises to cure depressing situation.I've very loving family members who're alway around me for showering their affection,but despite that depression's there.
Is there some time period for undergoing such codition? e.g six months,two yrs. etc.I never faced psychological probs. in my life & this condition upsets me too much Ther're conflicts besides.I want to get rid of it all.
Plz. tell me ways upon which I might act to get rid of it completely.Thanks.

Hello khurram,

I'll think about your predicament and post here soon with some things your can do and diet changes you can make / supplements you can take.

For now just know that you've come to the right place to get help and support and, though sorry you're sci and suffering depression, we're happy you found us and extend a chorus of welcome.

Beating Depression

Hi khurran,

So therapy/counceling is not possible? If this is the case I would suggest antidepressants, either medical/chemical or natural/supplemental. If you can get wild ginseng root* in your area (herbal dealers and/or gatherers should be able to supply this root) at least eight years old, this herb will improve you overall physical constitution and your mental outlook. I've used the American variant of the root, both the cultivated 5 to 6 y/o and wild (last few days) types and the wild amer. ginseng's impact on improving outlook and stimulating awareness and mental energy must be experienced to be credited and appreciated.

Do you exercise on a regular basis? I ask because exercise produces natural endorphins which, while best known for improving and lessening your feelings of physical pain, will also improve you disposition. You're an educated person and I've got to wonder if you read for enjoyment because I often found that reading something I enjoy (fiction/novels for me) will produce a sense of being grounded and content.

There's lots more you can do and I'm sure the CCC (CareCure Community) will make more suggestions than you could enact in a month of Sundays, amongst which you'll find things that can/will work for you.

Whatever you do, keep returning to our forums and you'll be amongst friends who understand what you're going throught and will always be ready to share what their life's experiences have shown and taught them.

HI friends,

Thanks for your very nice suggestions.I'll strive to find this herbal locally.Here in pakistan,such herbals're available but with indiginous names.u're right,exercise has very good impacts on me.it'd be better if u prescribe some food supplement to empower/strengthen/refresh brain etc.I'm handling a lot of mental work very easily.memory's working just normal.just want to get rid of depression bouts completely.thanks.

Do you have exposure to other people who are paralyzed in Pakistan as in social groups or sports groups? Sometimes being amongst people who understand can be comforting?
