Put it this way - it would never be accepted as evidence in a court of law.

Timaru...If the Bible can't be used as evidence in a court of Law, then why do we swear on the Holy Bible in court?...who started the "I'm telling the truth swear to God" thing?...

Interesting point is which came first, the law or the Holy Bible. But aside from this, I understand what you mean. I don't agree with it for two reasons. To those who believe in a white throne judgment and also the history of many legal systems has roots in Christianity. Faith on trial since the beginnings of creation. Where will it end I can only hope.

* Adam and Eve found guilty; with the law ~ Father
* Jesus the judge; with His death ~ Son
* Belief in resurrection; with life everlasting ~ Holy Ghost

About which came first, I think they both was created at the same time incidentally. These scriptures seem to say they are the same.

Quote:
Gen 1:4 And Godsaw the light, thatit was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
Gen 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

It seems to have started with the earliest civilisations where the witness would swear by his favourite Deity to tell the truth.

I just think someone was bored on day and decided to write a wierd book, Little did he know that the book made people worship it. Sad really and full of shit. no offence to the people who believe in it, but everyone is different.
