I'm a walking quad and had botox for my foot drop last year. I am now able to get my foot past 90 degrees strecthing wise but its still tight. I was told that botox weakens the muscle but the botox goes away after 3 months or so.
So if I did botox agian would that affect me in anyway, basically I'm asking would it help me our hurt me?

People react differently to Botox. Some develop antigens to it that makes it less effective with each dose. There are also some recommended life-time maximums, which most people ignore nowdays as use beyond that has not been proven to be detrimental.
Regardless, as with any medication, the decision to use it or not should be a decision you make together with an experienced SCI physician. (KLD) |
