Miralax
I have been given a prescription for the laxative Miralax to use as part of the preparation for a colonoscopy. I'm curious if anyone else has experience with this product. I am trying to figure if it will just soften things like milk of magnesia does or if five minutes after I take it all heck is going to break loose? Any information would be appreciated.
I am a newbie around hear. After posting I found several previous threads on the topic. Probably have what I need, but additional comments are still welcome. Last edited by TomRL; 04-16-2007 at 02:46 PM. |

My wife takes it daily. It just about cancels out the constipation from her pain meds. It is now OTC; a week's supply will cost you about a dollar a day (it used to be 4x that). The generic, polyethylene glycol, will undoubtedly be even cheaper.
