bladder stone (cause other problems?)

last week i had a renal ultrasound done because i have been incontinent for a month or so. i got real bad headaches when a bladder spasm happened...atleast i think that's what is goin' on. the ultrasound results showed a bladder stone. my urologist said he'll have to go in with a laser to break it up and use a scope to take it out. in the past couple days i've been incontinent...kind of a diarehha (sp?). i dont understand it because i dont feel sick, i dont have a temp...before these bladder spasms started happening, i was completely continent for 9 months...now i cant seem to hold anything in. in the past month my muscle spastisity has increased a lot. i'm sure the spastisity is caused by the bladder stone...but is the stone causing the diarehha too?

my stones kept me in constant uti and liquid shit, plus ad, plus bladder spasms, plus plugged cath...had removed two weeks ago, all better.......stones absorb and hold bacteria = bacteria in system causes diarrhea

It is likely that that loose stools and bladder stone are related. When are you getting the stone removed?

As long as you have been tested for c. diff. and know you do not have this bowel infection, then it is OK to use a medication like Kaopectate or Imodium to control your loose stools until you can get the stone removed and any UTI treated.

If you have been on antibiotics recently, or had a hospitalization, you need to be tested for c. diff. BEFORE taking Imodium.
