Ricon lift is very slow
Hello All,
I just bought a new Chevy express Van and put in a new Ricon UniLite lift.........I have used these lifts all my life and love them. Due to new Federal regulation the lift has an InterLock System connected to it that is a pain in the a**. Anyway, I have noticed that this new lift deploys and stowes very, very slowly. A tech told me that all the power from the battery now goes directly into a computer module and that module regulates how much juice goes to the lift. I am sure this is true, but doesn't explain why it causes the lift to behave so slowly and he could not explain it either other then "that's the way it works". Does anybody have any advice, experience or suggestions on how to speed this up a little ? Thanks. Ronnie |
