CAN YOU BELEIVE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is this guy that works at walmart. He was injured in an accident about four years ago. The other day my uncle told me that this guy was at work and he wanted to get something from the vending machine. So he got out of his chair walked up the stairs his wife then proceded to bring his wheel chair up. Same thing happened when they went down the stairs. This was a bit upseting for me. Am I the only one that has heared of this happening before? Niese

Just a thought...but maybe the guy has a wheelchair for other reasons than sci...arthritis, or heart condition/lung problems? I don't know...but at any rate maybe he has limited mobility. I would think that Walmart as his employer would not give him his job without checking his background... So I am thinking that there must be a good reason for what your Uncle saw... Give the guy the benefit of the doubt.

My own Mom used a wheelchair for years...but could walk very short distances...but had various health concerns that made the chair a lot better on her and on everyone concerned. She was not sci...and was not immobile, but she used and needed a chair, much to her dismay...but it got her where she wanted to go!

Take care,

Teena

I hunted with a quad a few years ago that could go to his Jeep, open the back hatch and load his wheelchair, then walk to the front and get in. He also stayed upstairs at the lodge. One of the guides would bring his wheelchair as he did the steps.

Niese-

I'm a walking quad, I do things like this. I don't have the endurance to go far, but am lucky that I can get most of the places I want. Once I get there, have to have the chair...

Niese,
I have a friend..she is 41 and has primary
pulmonary hypertension.
She was such a go getter..and this has stopped her in her tracks.

Before the total diagnosis and any treatments were started..she couldn't walk across the street without almost passing out..and sometimes did.

Now she is on Flomax and waiting for a lung
lobe transplant. The Flomax is delivered through her artery in her neck..she has to
carry a heavy like box around with her
24/7 that contains the Flomax..I hope this is the correct spelling..and the tube is sticking into her neck..very very intense
sort of treatment..but now she is able to
do so much more. But does still require using a chair when going to places that require
alot of walking.

Paralysis isn't I guess the only medical condition that forces people to use mobility
aids.

I do the same. Because I can't walk long distances anymore. A lot of incomplete injuries are doing this.

I ride a scooter at work. I can walk but have very painful nerve ending's in my feet. I can't even think about walking around a store. Just because someone can get up and get something does not mean they don't need a wheelchair or scooter, so don't go getting so upset until you find out the whole story
Thank's

One of the first tennis tournaments I was in I played another quad (man). I was wrapping the racquet w/ tape when I looked over and he was standing fixing his shorts!!

Gotta love those incompletes!

I APOLOGIZE to everyone for making this comment. I guess for someone that has to constantly use the wheelchair I never looked at it the other way. I should have looked into this more before saying anything. Again I am so sorry for even saying anything. And if I offended anybody I'm sorry
