I have a swollen left foot and it's quite spastic to the point I have to take my sneaker off and put a pillow under my foot. Plus I get active spasms in my left leg. I can't extend my legs because my left foot turns in to much and hurts.
Does anybody know this is caused from? |

Things to rule out:
Fracture of your foot or ankle DVT (how far up is your leg swollen? Does the swelling go down at night?) Too tight leg bag strap on that side Constipation (which can cause left leg edema sometimes, and can also cause spasticity) Pressure ulcer on that heel or ankle Are you having AD too? You probably need to see your physician. (KLD) |

I wore them for 14 years and I tried standing and the doctor and pt OKed standing without them. Should I have it x-rayed? Sounds like I should. Can constipation have anything to do with my suprapubic catheter getting clogged, not draining, and me urinating from my penis often? No AD The swelling does go away at night and doesn't go up my leg. I use a legbag on my right leg. No pressure sore or ulcer. Last edited by Jimi5; 10-30-2006 at 04:15 PM. |

Sounds like an Xray is in order. It is possible you have a broken ankle.
