RRY Publications to Host 2nd Annual Stem Cell Summit in San Diego, February 12-13, 2007 Largest Gathering Conference of Stem Cell Company Executives, Scientists, Investors, and Physicians Focused on Commercialization, Use of Products By PR Newswire

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2nd Annual Stem Cell Summit, a conference slated to be the largest group of stem cell company executives, scientists, investors and physicians ever assembled to focus on the commercialization and use of cell-based products, will take place February 12-13, 2007, in San Diego.

The two-day conference will bring together more than 35 companies as well as physicians and investors who will speak and present on the latest developments in embryonic and adult stem cells. In addition, the conference will host the first live stem cell surgery in which attendees can ask question in real-time as surgeons use a stem cell based product in the operation room.

"The Stem Cell Summit is the must attend event for investor networking, partnering opportunities and the latest developments in the stem cell space," said Robin Young, president of RRY Publications, producer of the Stem Cell Summit and publisher of Stem Cell Forecast. "Stem cell products are already within months of commercialization, and this summit will further demonstrate the rapidly growing market and opportunities of this space."

In March, the 1st Annual Stem Cell Summit attracted more than 175 participants and attracted more than 30 presenters in Chicago, while next year's conference is expected to attract more than 300 participants and more than 50 presenters. Scientific presentations at the conference served as the basis for the Stem Cell Forecast and set the stage for the 2007 event.

"The Stem Cell Summit is an ideal forum for physicians, companies and investors to discuss the clinical development progress of stem cell therapies," stated Christopher J. Calhoun, Chief Executive Officer for Cytori Therapeutics. "The industry as a whole is rapidly maturing as we are now looking forward to commercialization strategies, reimbursement and creating profitable stem cell business enterprises."
