Anyone been to the Xcel Center?

I want to go to a Wild game this year, and I was wondering if anyone has gone to one. How is the accessibility? And how is the seating for people in wheelchairs?
Thanks

Wheelman21,

I've been to the Xcel for several concerts, but not a hockey game. Concert accessable seating is great. Seats are on the "club level"--lots of space and no one in front of you. It's better then the Metrodome (I was just there last night for a Twins-Tigers game), and I think the Dome has okay accessable seating. Target Center is horrible.

I have been to the Xcel Center once and my dad, me, and another wheeler who attended the show plan on on writing a letter to the manager first asking where the accessible seating on the floor is. I'm not saying the Club Seats are horrible, but they are pretty far away from the stage. They looked like ants. We called the Department of Justice and asked what the rule was for concert seating regarding new venues and they said intergrated throughout ALL levels. I didn't see any chair sections on the floor and that's why we are going to write a letter. I hope they change it. Wishful thinking. I liked how they designed the wheelchair sections though. There was enough of a drop to the seats in front and on each side that no one could obstruct your view when they stood.

Now, before I attended the show a friend of mine who has been to some Wild games told me how GREAT the wheelchair seating is at the Xcel Center. As I watched Pearl Jam and Tom Petty I thought to myself these would be kick ass hockey seats because you have a good view of the whole ice rink.

I would say for concerts the seating is just ok and for hockey they would be great!!
