Scrotal swelling..... HELP!!

In April I was diagnosed with orchitis, possibly caused by a severe UTI.

I took cipro for two different periods. Now the UTI hadscleared up, but the swelling of my testicle still persists.

I had an ultrasound and went several times to my urologist, who is specialized in spinal cord injuries. He assured me it's orchitis and NO testicular cancer. He said it can take very long before the testicle is normal again.

In October I've another ultrasound and an appointment with my urologist. Although he told me not to panic, I'm still worried about the swelling.

Who can give me any advice?????

It can take some time to decrease in size, and the testicle may never be its normal size again if you had a really bad infection. If you are concerned, call your urologist and see if he wants to see you sooner than October. While testicular cancer is not caused by infection, you could have an abscess, which is why he would be repeating the ultrasound.

I had the similar problem like yours. as the swelling persited over a month, one testis was removed.
so be careful and consult at least two urologists.

Epididimidus [forgot how to spell it] also causes it. Had that.. effects after antibiotic and when it's cleared up can be much smaller testicles.

Get a 2nd opinion and ask if that could be.
