c4-5 osteo arthritis neck relief

hi

I'm in the wheelchair many hours a day. I'm told neck injuries lead to arthritis. My neck burns, stiff, crunches - are there any treatments

Do you have a physiatrist? The first thing would be to have an evaluation of your neck stability and current medical issues (if any) related to your neck. Then, if indicated, the physiatrist can give you a referral for a physical therapist or occupational therapist who is expert in musculoskeletal problems. Interventions may include tissue mobilization and massage, heat, ultrasound, or other modalities. In addition, your seating and posture should be evaluated. Often poor positioning in the wheelchair is a cause of neck and back pain.
