I know what you mean. Most think of mowing the lawn as a chore, but I love the sense of accomplishment and productivity it brings.

That is cool, I also adapted my riding lawn mower and enjoy the freedom of cutting the grass.

The pics were taken with a digital camcorder, so they're not the best.

Basically the modifications consisted of:
<UL TYPE=SQUARE><LI>for seating, installed a tractor seat with flip-up arms & high back
<LI>for transfer, extended left fender by bolting a piece of 1" thick shelving on top of fender with carriage bolts
<LI>for hand controls, bolted 1/2" square aluminum tubing to the clutch/break pedal[/list]

I have a Murray (real dirty but old)I will take a pic and show an upclose view. I just put an extension on the brake. I have cut my grass for years now. Maybe I will compete in the next tactor pull
