Looks like the ones I used to have except mine were red. The ergonomic grip is a plus. My hands hurt some when I first used mine. How long have you been using them? Have you tried to go to just one? That is how I did. Then I went to just a cane.

Well the ones i have been using are just standard loftstrand crutches that are really hopstial looking. I want somthing that looks better but still functional. I did end up walking with 1, until i hurt my knee so now i m back to 2 and a kafo, hah lucky me!
Thanks for the advice!

I love Walk Easy crutches. I don't have the ergonomic grip, but I'd imagine it to be a plus. I walked on Loftstrands starting at age 7. WE's were a huge adjustment because they are so light. You might not feel as supported with them, so watch that in the begining. I also went for them because they looked less institutional. I have 4 pairs, all in colors that I wear most often. I get a lot of compliments from walkies when I use them, which is unfortunately not so often anymore. Thanks sore feet and genu recurvatum!! Thanks a whole d*** bunch

I used them for many years when i could walk, much easier on the body than a cane or regular crutch, they are great, Go for it. I wish I could still use them.

Those are sharp looking Cory, but 'ya know I prefer the ones I have that Jadis posted the pic of for ya b/c I don't like my arms being "enclosed" by the cuff...Do they make those crutches with a molded open/half cuff similar to the ones I showed ya before?

I'll reiterate that I REALLY like using bicycle gloves while using crutches. The thin ones that are designed to spread your weight over your entire palm (road biking causes similar pressure that the gloves are designed to alleviate)

I just got the same crutches last week with the ergonomic grip and they work great for dispursing pressure on your hands. The ones I used prior to these had the regular oval style grip and my hands would burn out.

I tried "Walk-Easy" crutches when I was walking but at 6'3" and 210 lbs, they bent and walk-easy would not make their warranty good. (These were the ones they assured me would be perfect for me!)
I purchased a pair of Fetterman Crutches which were a Godsend for me. Light weight, floats in water, gel hand grips and flexible/floor gripping tips that do not slide around. You can see these at: http://fetterman-crutches.com/ Good luck, |

Thanks guys,
If i had 900 dollars believe me i would go for the fetterman crutches! I decided to order a pair, i don't bare very much weight at all on them, and im' only 118, so even if i wanted too i couldnl't bare much weight on them hah. Thanks again everyone! PS: 'chelle, i can't use the ones Jadis has because when I go to open a door/pick somthing up, they would fall off and I don't feel confident with my balance at c7, i still have alot of balancing acts to do heh Sorry to hear about the sore feet and genu recurvatum Jen, I hope it gets better.
