Trying to get back into rehab

My legs are violently spastic and I am more or less bedridden.
I couldn't even transfer into my shower chair this morning.
I'm worthless. I called Magee and they said they eval at hospitals
not homes. I told her my sob story and she is trying to work on it.

Work is being extremely generous as I have taken over a month
with this damn testicle surgery. I am a man on the verge of cracking.
I want my normal disabled life back.

Disabled is a wheelchair user that can't use the wheelchair.

Try and be a little patient. You've been sick an ungodly amount lately. Surgery takes it out of you and you had surgery on one of your boys, to boot.

Fighting's good. Just don't beat yourself up! We have seen the enemy and it is not Joe!

Good luck with the rehab, that's an excellent idea.

i hope things start to turn around. i'm sorry your spasms suck so much. i know how it is to have them take over your body even when you're doing nothing to start them. but not to the point of having to be bedridden. i'm sorry buddy.

Holy S*IT Joe! So sorry to hear your day has been so tough! You just got out of the hospital last nite, you're supposed to be doing better!!! D*mn, I hope that Magee will make some sort of arraingement or exception to eval you and get you in. Although, I really think that maybe you've got something else underlying that they haven't found yet... I hope that you get everything figured out and are feeling better soon. We all miss cheerful Joe in chat!

Joe, again, I'm sorry to hear you're going through some major problems.

Do you have someone to come over and help take care of you?

If you haven't already done so, ask to speak to one of the nurses in the SCI center. Maybe they can advocate for you. Is there a local OT, PT, or some other professional willing to come out and evaluate your condition? Perhaps a report verifying your new limitations would help.
