Where to go for stem cell therapy?

I've read about people going to South Korea, Russia, Turkey, and Portugal, but how do you get in touch with these places? If anybody knows please help me out!

Dustin

Dustin, yes there are things going on but my honest advice to you, for what its worth, would be to hang-fire for something concrete. I honestly believe it won't be an unbearably long wait. Put it this way, no current therapy has given any documentable big advance in motor and sensory function. This is what many are working on and it will happen, given time. Hard as it is, you'll be glad you waited

Thanks every one, I was wondering if anyone would reply. I am going to wait unil something more concrete comes along, I was just looking to compare different places/therapies to have a better idea of where to go when the time is right. I was also wondering about how early after injury an attempt should be made.

sooner will always be better I believe. You have to consider muscle atrophy, bone density issues and a bad heart from lack of cardio.
I will also say that to me itlooks like china or maybe russia will succeed first.

Dustin, you can take peoples advise and wait or if youhave the greenbacks try because if everyone sits on the sideline the game will never be played

I am worried about atrophy and my body getting accustomed to sitting, and I have the time, opportunity, and funding to get it done, but am worried that it might do more harm than good. Also, I still don't know about which therapy to seek out, ie. embryonic, adult, olfactory, bone marrow, blood, or, what seems to be the best candidate, some combination of the aforementioned. I know that whatever the case, I will be sentenced to the chair for a long time. I do think that sooner is better too, striking while the iron is hot so to speak. But I don't want to end up on the other statistical column that had no sensory or functional recovery after a quite expensive and somewhat dangerous procedure even if I did get to see a foreign country.

you have alot of thinking to do... 1st, you don't know which procedure. none of the above has proven results. 2nd, sooner is not better. how can it, if nothing has or no one is walking? as time passes, they (doctors) will learn more and the procedure will have a better chance. a few ppl. have had some improvement, but not much...3rd, you answered my 2nd comment based on some of your preliminary findings. alot of money for a slim chance of some recovery...

Also Dustin there are things to ensure muscle atrophy is minimised (FES) and bone density kept in check (standing frames) for when the full package does arrive, be it stem cells or otherwise. The search function will kick up lots of articles for you.

your patience will pay off!

dustin, I emailed the cells 4 health people and if I get a reply I will pass it on. I have someone to pay for the treatment if I find a good one and I am willing to be the test subject. Don't lose hope and keep working out, even on your own at a local gym or at home. You can slow the atrophy with excercise and supplements. I have been in a chair for 5.5 years and I am a personal trainer and I workout every day. keep the faith.
