FES Bike

I am currently in the process of purchasing an FES bike in the next few weeks. I was wondering if anyone can share any stories of the FES working for them and their recoveries from it.

I am a T5 complete and 2 months post.

Josh you don't count.....I know ur feelings about it.

FES Information

Hey Spidergirl! Good for you!

There is great article on The NextSteps Foundation's just updated website that is quite informative about FES. Here is the link:

Thanks NrGized...

Pat is really awesome and he's a lot of my motivation behind restorative therapy. Him and Josh have been leading me towards this. I wish you the best of luck with ur new machine.

I see you rated this 5 stars...hmmm

But I please welcome stories of FES.

Curt,

I am not exactly sure what you posted. I am referring to the FES bike. I believe the stim master is old and have no electrodes. Where's the stimulation from the stim? In addition, the testimonials look very bizarre.

SpiderGirl, the StimMaster is an fes bike just as the Ergys is an fes bike. There are electrodes, pads, etc. As for being old, or out of date, I don't think they have changed that much through the years??? Take care~ T.

I own a Ergys bike it is around 13 years old. I will be purchasing a new one this year. I am looking for anyone who has tried the three different types of the bikes to see which one you preferred and why. Are they all about the same price? Any information is appreciated.

So how much have they changed that you are looking for a new bike or is it just the fact that it is older/worn out? Thanks, ~T.

I don't think they have changed too much. Mine has definitely seen its better day. My riding has decreased and I have purchased new replacement parts and riding pants and nothing has changed with the riding. I think it is time. Thirteen years is a longtime. It has been well worth the money.
