Light motorized wheelchairs that come apart?
Wondering if anyone has used those lightwieght motorized chairs that come apart like the A'TM or Go chairs? The come apart in four or five pieces that are relatively light and can fit in the truck of a car?
I can't get around long distances with my chair now and am thinking of getting a motorized chair. However I drive a Camry and don't want to either get a van or back of the car lift. A motorized chair that comes apart seems like a good solution. BTW- Anyone have any tips on how to get my insurance to pay? I am T10-11 so my arms work, but I have torn both rotator cuffs in rehab of all places and so am limited in how far I can push. BUt hte stupid insurance is saying they won't pay because the chair is only for in home use, which I don't need. Anyway, all insights appreciated? |
