[Posted: Mon 18/07/2005]

Spinal Injuries Awareness Week will take place this year from Saturday July 23 to July 30.

This year, the awareness will be marked by a 250km Kayak Challenge fund-raising venture.

Throughout the week, 11 kayakers, some of whom are in wheelchairs as a result of spinal cord injury, will travel a 250km course of the river Shannon, starting from Ballyconnell, Co Cavan and ending at Killaloe,Co Tipperary on Saturday 30.
