What to buy?
I'm thinking of buying some more exercise equipment. Does anyone have one of these or a Saratoga cycle? http://www.scifit.com/pro2.asp I have some money to spend on stuff. What are some other exercise equipment out there for a C-7 Quad? I almost have enough for a FES bike but have no place to put it in my house.

Other than the seated bench press on the uppertone i find all its exersizes to be very awkward. I guess nothing beats working out with free weights.

well guys i couldnt disagree more. i have the 3rd or 4th production moedel, so ive had it for several years. at 1st it was awkward but it soon felt normal. i do all the exercises as well as saome i made up myself. for a quad theres nothing better.

I also have the Saratoga and the Uppertone there both for different things. The Saratoga is more of a cardio workout,it hasnt really done anything for me strength wise but it burns calories, increases energy, and gets the blood flowin.I agree fuentejps! the uppertone has been awsome for me,balance was a problem with some of the excercises at first but i think you'll find the more you use it better your balance gets, and not just for using the machine but alround.I have no problems with it at all anymore,my strength has increased 10 fold, balance is excellent and my transfers are a breeze. ive been using it for a year now.The only thing with the uppertone is that it's big,you need a lot of room.

I should have ask this. Does anyone have the bike that works both arms and legs? Does it really help tone up legs any at all? I have HO in my right hip. Will it hurt it more doing this kind of exercise?

There are a number of posts regarding FES bikes and one of them mentioned it might be possible to get hold of 2nd hand or refurbished older model FES bikes for +/-6k.
Unfortunately, I cant find the particular post but was wondering if anyone knows if this would be if you are just lucky and find someone who is selling theirs or if electrologic or whoever actually sell 2nd hand bikes? Thanks, AO. |

Tigger - I've tried the Pro II and I think it's a wonderful machine. I wish I had regular access to one. If you have enough upper body strength to engage your legs passively, it will provide you with a great full body workout. Did you see the Stepper? http://www.scifit.com/rst7000.asp
