Project Walk™ is using the PowerPlate ( www.powerplateusa.com )to produce whole body vibration. We have so far found it to be very effective at helping our clients lock out their legs for standing purposes. We have also found it to help induce and also strengthen voluntary muscle contractions.

You might be interested what they are doing in this picture...it is in Europe... they are testing the influence of imagination on automatic body movement.... the test person is wearing 3D-spectacles and views proper walking. I've been telling people during therapy to close their eyes and to imagine to watch themselves walking on a catwalk, on a beautiful meadow, or to a date with Elvis (Verena), or through mud (if the legs are heavy), or what ever seems to be appropriate.... of course, it works.... depending on the objective capability and the imaginative force...interestingly, the imaginative force in general is not well developed...and would last just for moments...which of course is not enough to use it as a tool.....so I think it is a good idea to use such visualizations....it seems to be too much work to train the brain.
