A little movement

Worked out in my EZ Walker. Actually moved my right knee a little - took a lot of straining to do it - but did it just the same. My new insurance company is trying to cut me off of PT. They compare quadriplegia with a death sentence. My PT is so sweet she comes w/o being authorized or paid. I've been blessed w/good people around me - present company included.

There are so many people that need education - I'm not sure if it might be an impossible task. It's bad enough that we have to fight our own bodies for movement but to have to fight everyone else is almost too daunting.

I feel the same way sometimes Debbie. The thing I have found is you have to be extra assertive and good at expressing your feelings when SCI and like you said educate people as a lot of people just dont understand the whole thing.

Will your insurance cut you off even if you have a Doc's Script for PT and your Doc can show health improvement as a result of PT?

Thanks for the encouragement guys. Dr. J.J. my new insurance company knows I have to go on Medicare on April 1 so they are holding off as long as they can so they don't have to pay. I came to the conclusion a long time ago that money is the basis of all evil intentions. I sometimes wish that all non-sympathetic ABs have to spend 24 hours as a quad or para. We would have a cure immediately. Dogger and everyone - I have no intention of quitting - I have to walk again so I can walk up to Pres. Bush and...I'll leave that to everyone's imagination.
